The Salvation Army Needs Your Help!

The Salvation Army has been helping communities in Canada since 1882, giving hope and support to the most vulnerable in 400 communities across Canada.  In these unsettling times our most vulnerable are hit the hardest.  The Salvation Army maintains its operations and delivery of services such as Foodbanks and shelter beds to those struggling. “Donations of food and hygiene products are going down as demand goes up,” says Major Rob Kerr – Divisional Secretary for Public Relations.  “Please don’t make an extra trip to the grocery store, but when you go, if you could pick up some of the items urgently needed and drop them off at our site, we will make sure those families in need receive them.

The Salvation Army drop off station:  Railside Distribution Centre, 150 Railside Rd in Scarborough.  Donations can be safely placed in the bins in the parking lot.  Attendants will monitor and retrieve the donations and place them in quarantine until they are safe to handle and distribute.  The drop off station will be open Monday to Friday each week from 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM.
