Borat Subsequent Moviefilm
The first film really delivered. The second film will definitely be a conversation starter at the water cooler. To those that may not be aware, Borat is a mockumentary comedy film. Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan first came out in 2006. It centered around a fictional Kazakh television journalist named Borat Sagdiyev. He travelled through the United States to make a documentary that featured real-life interactions with Americans. Sacha Baron Cohen plays Borat. The sequel titled Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (Borat 2) will be available on October 23, 2020, by Amazon Studios. Borat was first introduced in F2F, and Da Ali G Show.
In Borat 2, Borat returns to the United States from Kazakhstan to learn more about American culture, COVID-19, and the 2020 elections. However, this time he is not alone. He unintentionally brought his daughter Sandra Jessica Parker Sagdiyev played by Irina Nowak. The film was quite amusing. Obviously there were a few moments that were uncomfortable but nonetheless, a lot of the material made me laugh. There was some really good thought out jokes that delivered in later segments in the film. I found it quite amusing how Sacha Caron Cohen as Borat can create such controversy on social media with the ‘Rudy Giuliani scene’. The segment was Rudy getting caught in a compromising position in a hotel room with a young journalist. Overall, if you are looking for an easy-going comedy film to watch, you might want to check it out.
