2020/21 Schedule for CityTV and FX

Today, Citytv announces its 2020/21 Schedule. I figured I would write a few notes on some new shows that I will likely watch this Fall including Law & Order: Organized Crime, Young Rock, and Mr. Mayor. In addition, I will give updates on some of the other shows I enjoy watching on Citytv and FX.

New to Citytv

New to Citytv this fall is Law & Order: Organized Crime (Thursdays at 10 pm). I was surprised to hear this news but thrilled to see Christopher Meloni reprising his role as Elliot Stabler. The drama features Elliot Stabler (Meloni) returning to the NYPD to battle organized crime after a devastating personal loss.

In other news, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has a new comedy show called Young Buck. This show will focus on the formative years of superstar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as he grows up through life. This sounds fun and I can’t wait to see it.

In addition, Ted Danson stars in Mr. Mayor as a wealthy businessman who runs for mayor of Los Angeles for all the wrong reasons. Cast members include Ted Danson (The Good Place, Cheers), Holly Hunter (Succession, Bless the Harts), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), Mike Cabellon (Orange is the New Black), Vella Lovell (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Dollface) Kyla Kenedy (The Walking Dead).

Returning shows

2020/21 season will also see the return of my favourite comedy shows on Citytv black-ish, Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Thursday at 8:30 pm), Family Guy (Sundays 9:30 pm), Mom (Thursday 8pm), and The Simpsons (Sundays at 8 pm). As for drama shows, popular dramas such as Hudson & Rex (Tuesdays at 8 pm) and Manifest (Mondays at 10 pm) are back.

Of course, we can’t forget the fun special events on Citytv such as the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards® and Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve.

FX Network

Over on FX, new series include: The Old Man, A Teacher, and Y: The Last Man. My favourite dramas including American Crime Story, American Horror Story and Fargo are back. On the comedy side, Atlanta and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia are returning.
