Statement by Chris Meloni about Law and Order: Organized Crime
As far as the series, first of all, it is not going to be singular units of entertainment. The first of the box is an 8 episode series. So it is me going after the bad guys and finding my footing in this new place, this new world and solving the crime in eight episodes. So it’s a little bit more sprawling I guess.
Meloni about his character Elliott Stabler
Mariska actually educated me about our characters once. I don’t when she said it, may it was the second or third season or something but she said something along the lines of “Don’t you get it?” Because I’m dense that way, she goes “I’m the nurturing mother. You are the stern but loving father.” … We are the mom and dad that have your best interest at heart and that we will protect you. I thought that was sweet. A very powerful moment.
Chris Meloni discussing Wolf Entertainment
I think this is the beauty and genius of what Wolf does. Which is the whole label “ripped from the headlines”. So, if you are going to deal with corruption and organized crime then let’s get some issues of the day or those small newspaper articles that maybe people didn’t read. It’s our job to rip it from the headlines and maybe stitch it together to give it a bigger, brighter, fuller picture.
