LevelFILM acquired rights to documentary Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street

Following its World Premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, levelFILM has acquired Canadian rights to the documentary STREET GANG: HOW WE GOT TO SESAME STREET during the European Film Market.

The deal was negotiated by Hudakoc and John Bain, Head of Distribution at levelFILM and Mike Messina, EVP of Distribution, for Screen Media. The two distributors have most recently partnered on SKYFIRE, LENNOX LEWIS: THE UNTOLD STORY, and BLACKBIRD. The film was produced by Trevor Crafts and Ellen Scherer Crafts of LA-based Macrocosm Entertainment, with producer Lisa Diamond.

Synopsis

STREET GANG: HOW WE GOT TO SESAME STREET takes audiences inside the minds and hearts of the Sesame Street creators, artists, writers, and educators who together established one of the most influential programs in television history.

Directed by Marilyn Agrelo (AN INVISIBLE SIGN, MAD HOT BALLROOM).

The film was inspired by Michael Davis’ New York Times best-selling book chronicling the rise of the most influential children’s show of all time.
